Today we are talking about Freemasons. How can you know if the foundational teachings of Freemasonry are true or false?  The Bible says we are to test the spirits, and hold all things against the truth of His Word. Freemasonry requires its members to believe in the existence of a Supreme Being and also to believe that there is only One God. Freemasonry refers to its god as the Great Architect of the Universe. It teaches that all men, of all the various religions, worship the one God, simply using a variety of different names. It is on that basis that Masons may be Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, or men who profess to follow Jesus. Freemasonry requires a belief in the existence of A Supreme Being, but does not define that being.

Does Freemasonry lift up Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation as is documented in John 14:6? No.

One man who has done the legwork for us, has compared everything that the Freemasons teach, believe and practice to the Word of God. Duane Washum himself was once a leader in the Masonic fraternity, and  his testimony is powerful.   As someone who knows first-hand what the Masons teach about Christ and salvation, he works tirelessly to minister through his organization,  Ex-Masons for Jesus. There is a sister organization for women and girls (Eastern Star, International Order of Rainbow for Girls, etc.) as well, called Rooftop Ministries.
