Our uncertain, unsafe world

boston-bombIs our daily lifestyle of home, family and security just an illusion? Later in the program, an American pastor being held in an Iranian prison has been told to renounce his faith in Jesus Christ, and today there is word that he is being tortured.  Plus, why haven’t we heard from the mainstream media about the horrific murder trial of the abortion doctor who witnesses say killed babies that were born alive during his procedures?

But first, the biggest news of the day. Our nation is reeling from the bomb attack during the last leg of the Boston Marathon yesterday, where the death toll has risen to three; among the dead is an eight-year-old boy. Authorities report that at more than 130 people were injured when the explosions occurred, including several children with severe trauma. Some of the victims underwent amputations and are suffering from burns, while others sustained injuries from shrapnel.

I am still experiencing trouble listening. Fortunately, I am local so I can get it on the radio. Glad you made it over to your new server so the audience God is giving you can continue to grow as He sees fit. Facebook still seems to be acting weird. Sometimes posts show up sometimes they don't.

My biggest concern about the long-term impacts of this latest terror attack is that the Obama Administration will choose to fan the flames that we need even more security. Time will tell, but this is an event that will shape the future. Life in America changed on 9/11/01 and life in America changed again in an even more personal and symbolic way on 4/15/13. Now you have to wonder of the rogue terror attack won't happen when your kids are getting back on the bus after a high school sporting event, or while your trying not to look at the Victorias Secret signage at the Mall. My sense is that this attack because it happened at such a high profile event and in such a way as to seem random yet symbolic will cause many across the nation to exhibit symptoms of PTSD in the weeks and months ahead.

The gospel and prayer, The Lord can comfort, and it is to Him that our nation must look again.

God says in his word that there will be perilous times. I'm guilty just like the rest of the people. We as Christians need to get down on our hands and knees and start praying for this country. I wonder how long it's going to take the unsaved to start seeing what's happening in our country. Maybe we as Christians need to start reaching out to unsaved people and asked them do you know the Lord.
    Psalms 112:1,4,5,7,9,and12.

Today I was reading Mike Boldea' blog. He pretty much sums up what is happening in our country. April 17th. The times we live in.
To read his blog this is his blog site.
