Can “clay and iron” be a good mix?

clayironCan you have a “kind of” flat tire on a car, or can a woman be “sort of” pregnant? “When we mix truth with error, we get TERROR.

Consider this quote by Charles Spurgeon:

Discernment is not knowing the difference between right and wrong. It is knowing the difference between right and almost right. – C.H. Spurgeon 1834 – 1892

When we mix opinion with fact, or our feelings with the Truth of God’s Word, it’s like mixing iron and clay.

Daniel 2:41 says, “And as you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom, but some of the firmness of iron shall be in it, just as you saw iron mixed with the soft clay.”
