Will you “swallow the frog?”

There is an old Hebrew idiom, “swallow the frog,” that roughly means the same thing as “biting the bullet.” When we as a Body of Christ make any kind of concessions or compromise to the Gospel, we do something grievous to God that harms His flock. Will we as a Church continue to swallow the frog, or will we stand firm in these days of confusion?

One Response to Will you “swallow the frog?”

  1. Mr Davis says:

When we talk about swallowing the frog or compromising the Gospel, what do we mean? For most all in America have accepted a gospel where Christ is something you add to your life and not life itself. If it were life itself we would not think of going against Christ or His apostles and prophets and what they have handed down to us no matter what scholarship says.

So the bigger question remains: how badly compromised are you already? Where are you following the world in its rebellion against God and His annointed One, The Christ, and do not know it? Where are you laying aside God's word for your own preference and do not see it? We should want to know if we are His or is our conscience so seared we don't care?

We are like the evil son, who with his mouth told his father he would do the thing but then did not do it and did his own thing instead. Remember rebellion in the Lord's eyes is the same as worshiping demons and refusal to repent of your rebellion is utterly filthy idolatry (worship of dead things). 1 Samuel 15:22-23

To recieve Christ Jesus and His salvation is to reject the world in all its rebellion and not to desire to do it any longer. 1 John 2:4-6. Not just reject some, not most, but all for this is how Christ Jesus Himself walked. This is the Christ Jesus, the persecuted Church is dying for for He alone is worth dying for: God in the Flesh, Christ Jesus, who came not to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. So they in joy pour out their very lives for His righteousness sake for His great name.

Have you recieved this Christ or have you recieved another.
