What is the state of the Church in 2013?

Boston - Back Bay: Trinity Church (aerial)

Today we begin to explore the state of the Church in 2013. This year promises to be shaky. What we mean by that is simply that the Bride of Christ is continuing to be shaken by a number of crisis points spiritually, morally and financially from the outside world and from within her own walls.  Will only a remnant survive this shaking? And if so, how can you help your church body prepare?

In our program today you are going to hear from some well-known pastors and how they’re preparing spiritually for what some are saying will be a defining year in Christianity.  We’re going to start with the financial side. In our first segment, Doug Wakefield joins the conversation. Doug is a financial thought leader for 25 years and President of Best Minds, Inc.

This year I believe the Bride will be purified and sanctified even to the point where she will lay down her lives for Christ's Great Name for Christ Himself will make us to stand, if we are His Bride. I pray Christ will work in us what is nessesary to lay aside our fear of man, that we would sactify the Lord in our hearts and that the Lord would be our fear and our dred, then He would be for us a sactuary. Romans 14:4, Isaiah 8:12-13

Speaking of the man of lawlessness.

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: (This Power was Given to Him by the Father and for our benefit that we would not live for this world any longer but for the one to come.)

and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations (look at the scope here). And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. Revelation 13:6-10

May God bless you and grow you in His grace.
