When calamity comes, does Hope prevail?

Screen-shot-2012-12-19-at-7.39.36-AMAs we draw nearer to perilous times for the Bride of Christ, are we prepared as a Church to weather the storms? And  more importantly, are we taking advantage of every opportunity to draw people to their only real hope—Jesus Christ?  At the moment, much of the Church looks a lot like the world, and many would say that Christians are blending in almost too well. Many well-known Christian leaders are telling us the recent tragedies in our schools are a direct result of our nation turning its back on God.  So we’re going to talk about preparedness today and get your thoughts on whether you agree with that growing sentiment.

In our first segment, our guest Dr. Duke Pesta is here to talk about preparedness in our education system. And if you are a parent, you may know about the National Education Association’s agenda to impart an anti-Christian worldview to your kids.  Dr. James “Duke” Pesta, is Education Academic Director and teacher overseeing educators at the Freedom Project.  Named after conservative icon John Wayne, Dr. Duke has taught at universities and high schools  and was instrumental in creating and launching a Bible course in the Texas Public School system.  A true Classical Education and Americanist advocate, Dr. Pesta worked tirelessly to overcome challenges from the school system and the courts to help make this course available to interested highschoolers in Texas.

I look for signs of God to find out if I am going in the right direction. The other day I was led to a story about the last "tweet" of the principal at Sandy Hook- and her post there was singing the praises of the Common Core Standards Curriculum.

I don't want to pass any judgment on the people at the school, or the principal who lost her life, or even on the people who wrote that manifesto for our schools.

I believe that God is in charge and has a plan for everything- including having me see, and understand the growth of that curriculum in our public schools.

It won't be long an homeschooling will be illegal.

Soon the Law of the Land will be "Get on board with the Governments program or prepare yourself to be re-educated". You really aught to be diving into God's word while you can and hide as much of that word as you can in your heart you'll need it in the days ahead.
