Perspectives in the Church

We cover all sorts of topics on our show, including some fantastic things and some very concerning things happening in the church and in the world. We are by no means the experts, but rather we are students who want to make sure you are aware; not to cause fear or division, but simply because we believe the time is very short—and we need to be informed—and in the Word. We’re heading into murky waters for the Church — and in fact have been treading in these waves for some time now. So this program is here to help people navigate their way through and find clarity in what we believe and why we believe it.

One Response to Perspectives in the Church

  1. Mr Davis says:

Pastor Don's comment about who is checking the checkers is a pertinent point illustrating the lack of operation of the body of Christ. Inside the Chruch that condition is being perpetuated by leaders who are only passing on what they themselves have been taught. We are warned against doing this.

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.

    From Colossians 2

Chirst Jesus has always intended Himself the Head of the Church but we have chosen to replace Him and His word and set in His place men who pass on the traditions of man who teach them as if they are from God. This is the same error Israel made when they cried out to God that He would give them a king, who is a man just like everyone around them had. God gave them their hearts desire King Saul. This sets up a condition where the blind are leading the blind and this it seems is what we want.

To say this is not so is lying against the truth which we do have at our fingertips but refuse to put into practice. We should be repenting and practicing in our fellowships what God says is the proper operation of the Church which He sent Paul to establish. It is not enough to go line by line through the bible, we must also do.

If we don't do that what should we expect?

4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called , none did answer ; when I spake , they did not hear : but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not. Isaiah 66

For those contending for the faith and obedience of Jesus Christ:

5 Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed. Isaiah 66

May you continue to long and hope for the appearing of our Most Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the author and perfector of our faith. And take great care not to return evil for evil but rather return to them a blessing and be a blessing to them.

May God grant us all courage to stand in the Light of God's truth in Christ.
