School prayer ban 50 years later

Did you know that last month marked the 50 year anniversary since the U.S. Supreme Court first ruled that government-endorsed prayer in public schools is unconstitutional?  The landmark decision, which continues to lay at the center of the nation’s debate over the separation of church and state, forever changed the way that faith and religion are handled in classrooms.

It all started back in 1963 America’s most famous atheist, Madeline Murray O’Hair, won the landmark lawsuit filed on behalf of her son William, that effectively banned prayer in public schools. William J. Murray did not follow in his mother’s footsteps and instead has given his life over to Jesus Christ.

  1. Mr Davis says:

If by founding fathers we mean those folks who held to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its entirety, then we would not be refering in that same breath to those who signed a declaration of independance and our constitution, who were greatly influenced by Thomas Payne and by Benjamine Franklin, who saw this haried folk as ripe for manipulation.
But this is a little known part of our history.

There would also be the time when the the US Government gave up its soverignty in 1914 when the US Government yielded to allow a forign entity to control our currency.

This same lot who control our currency also now and have for some time controlled both parties through financial backing.

The laws submitted by both parties continue to strip rights from its citizens for the so called greater good applying to its citizenry greater and greater burdens. Eventually all rights will disappear. Submit or die will be your only option and this for the sake of peace. Yes the Lawless One will destroy wonderfully.

The goal from the beginning was to never win, but to distract. The goal was never to win but to wear down. The goal was never to win but to cripple and maim until.

Until what? Until we are so desperate we don't care who it is who comes to bring order out of chaos even if it were Satan himself.

We are close now very close.

The Cry has gone out the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, repent of your sins! Repent of your rebellion against the Holy One. Yet the wicked will deny it saying how is it I have rebelled against God, I Love God, He is my Lord. It is Jesus Christ I have placed my faith in, can't you see I'm a religious man.

Yet it isn't our standard by which we are to measure things and a sealed person lives to understand their depravity more and more in contrast to the Character and Nature of God. It is this person who is thankfull forthe Blood Shed on the Cross by Christ Jesus. This same blood it is that covers us and cleanes us from all sins. This Spirit filled person desires correction and rebuke, wanting to bring their life into the truth of God's word so they can see what must be done and pray to that end. They seek fellowship for that purpose. They hunger for it. They will not be satisfied with less.

But we have filled our congregations with Goats, we have given ourselves to their leadership and have foresaken our first Love. We have allowed ourselves to be swept along by the crowd who thought it a good idea to bring the very culture we are called out of into the very place of worship.

Why are things happening we ask.

    There really are two answers

Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy , that it cannot hear : 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear . 3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. 4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

Isaiah 66:4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear : but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

I ask have fears come upon you?

but for the believer there is a promise:

Isaiah 66:5 Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; >>>>Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified:>>>> but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed . 6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.

The Lord is mighty to save. Guard your hearts.

    Hebrews 3
    12 Take heed , brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily , while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

May God bless you in all with the Holy Spirit grant you peace hope and joy in Christ Jesus

Oh yes, we can see 50 years later:

    Murder in theater in Colorado,

    Gay clergy
    Gay military
    Limits on free speech
    Tolerance instead of truth
    Millions killed through legal abortion…

    Oh yes, we can see.
