T.D. Jakes and Chopra: Apostate Christianity

Bishop T.D. Jakes and Deepak Chopra on Living from the Core

If Oprah Winfrey has no problem with T.D. Jakes’ religion, that should send a HUGE warning flag up.  I’m wondering if James MacDonald is starting to feel the burn from endorsing Jakes yet?  The more Jakes grows, the more his apostate state stands out with striking clarity.

Check it out…

Emmy Award-winning series “Bishop T.D. Jakes and Deepak Chopra: Living From the Core” will simulcast on-air and online on OWN, Oprah.com and Facebook.com/OWNtv July 1 at 11am ET/PT

Lifeclass all-star teachers Bishop T.D. Jakes and Deepak Chopra bring their spiritual insight to the stage in two exclusive talks designed to help you reach your greatest potential. First up, one of the country’s most dynamic spiritual leaders, Bishop T.D. Jakes, takes us on an electrifying journey of self-realization to show us how to maximize our lives by changing the way we think. Then, one of the greatest thought leaders of our time, Deepak Chopra, explains why he believes there is a spiritual solution to every problem in the world. He’ll walk us through the steps of becoming fully aware of our own power and energy, in order to find solutions to obstacles that hold us back.  (Online Source.)

Hmmm… let’s see… self realization… that’s a fancy way of saying unrepentant sinner.  You can self realize all day long, and even if you think you’ve gotten to the core of your inner goodness, it’s still only filthy rags.  That’s it!  That’s as good as it gets, and that’s as good as it’s EVER going to get.  Without the righteousness of Jesus Christ, no one can stand in the day of judgment.

Welcome to the dark days of apostate Christianity.  Ugly, isn’t it?

  1. Mr Davis says:

When I think of these two Psalm 73 comes to mind, with a warning not to be envious, rather fear for them for they are on a slippery slope and the end will not be good for them. And it is good that I will and do suffer affliction for Christ upholds us. It is in our weakness, when we have run out of options, in our desperation that the salvation of Christ shines the brightest, where He shows himself strong. It is in these times He wraps us up in His peace and a comfort that goes beyond our circumstances dire though they may be. It is because He is our true Hope and that Hope is sure!

Those who never see trouble, may never understand their desperate need for a Christ to save them and hold them up. They may continue to walk about in their own light which they themselves have imagined. I too walked in my own light, in a way I had imagined, and were it not for God's direct intervention I would have continued in that way.

Scriptures are clear we were all once children of darkness and we would have remained as such were it not for the Light of the World and the rebirth we receive by His will, whereby we are made His children in Christ Jesus. So repent and pray! Pray to our most gracious God and Savior who alone is able to save that He would grant that for these His enemies for so once were we.

Thanks for this post. I had no idea Jakes had slid so far down into the sllime that he now unites with known New Ager gurus.

"…in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons…." 1 Timothy 4:1

    Ugly – and getting uglier

  3. Kenneth says:

Jakes continues his quest in taking the Black Church to hell. And they [the black church] are enjoying the ride because they still have not opened their eyes yet to realize that Jakes is being used by the devil. The devil took Jakes to an exceeding high mountain a few years ago, and promised him that he would make him rich and famous if he would obey him. He took it. Now Jakes is using someone like Oprah Winfrey, who a lot of black folks respect and trust because she has a lot of money to draw the masses, and black folk is falling for it.

  4. Dion says:

I agree with Kenneth that Jakes was taken to the mountain/ high place and was offered the world. For TD Jakes and the like it is all about money. The scripture tells us not to love the world neither the things that are in the world, for all that is in the world is the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. If any man loves the world the love of the Father is not in him. No man can serve two master; he will either love one and hate the other… It is all about the love of money/mammon. It is high time that we wake out of sleep.

    • Danielle says:

and money is ALL they talk about. bless me, give me, i want, i want, i want, what can Jesus do for me?, what blessings has GOD got for me? like a big giant atm machine. if you look at his fb page, He never says let's glorify GOD today! let's share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ w/ as many ppl as possible today! lets all thank GOD today for all He has done for us! none of that. Him, Creflo Dollar, Eddie Long, Olsteen etc. all of them all about gimmee gimmee gimmee $$$ and producing and fostering this unholiness among an adulterous sin-clinging world-loving generation and church full of folks on their way to hell. there is no love in this. no love or care for their fellow man. its cold. its calculated. its fearless in the face of GOD. its sick

Thank you for this post. Funny how one can just see the downward spiral in many of these men's theology. T.D. Jakes, Creflo Dollar, Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, The Copelands…most of the TBN association…are all in the same camp. Oh there's more of such alliances and stories to come.

  6. Jo Sappenfield says:

The teaching of these people is a whitewashing of what is unredeemable–man's pride. If we do not find our salvation in identification with the death of Christ who became our sin and was forsaken because of it –neither will we find our reality in His resurrection llife. We must let the grace of God do its working in teaching us to DENY ourselves and ungodliness and live righteous and soberly in this crooked generation OR be candidates for the destruction that we were never appointed to. The Apostle Paul spoke of his gospel–we need to get back to it and follow him as he followed Christ. Paul was not a Hollywood star. May God have mercy upon us and give us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to those who name His name.
