Oreo’s new gay marriage rainbow cookie campaign takes fans by surprise

Not that we’re all about boycotts on Stand up For The Truth, but many of you might lose your appetite for this tasty snack. Here’s more from the baltimoresun.com

Gay pride cookie

As Maryland continues to gear up for a gay marriage question on the ballot this fall, another snack food has taken sides on the issue.

Following in the footsteps of Ben & Jerry’s gay marriage ice cream flavor, Oreo is showing support for same-sex couples with a rainbow cookie.

The “Pride” cookie isn’t something people can buy — at least not yet. Rather, the company released a picture of it Monday on its Facebook page. The rainbow layered Oreo with the tagline “Pride” garnered more than 145,000 likes and nearly 35,000 shares in less than a day.

Supporters immediately began campaigning for Oreo to make the icing-heavy creation real, something people could buy and eat. (It would be like extreme Double Stuff with all that icing.)

Just as fast, opponents began threatening a boycott.

New Ben & Jerry's flavor supports gay marriage
Earlier this year Ben & Jerry’s announced an ice cream flavor in support of gay marriage. Apple-y Ever After, apple ice cream with pieces of apple and chunks of pie crust, would be available in the United Kingdom.

Home Depot, Penneys, the Lutheran church, the Methodist church, the POTUS, Ben and Jerry and NOW Oreo.!!!.

As anyone who reads the Word knows, homosexuality is a choice, a sin against a Holy God and an abomination. What it is not is a birth defect.

This threatened boycott gives me a great idea. Why not make all the country's food rainbow coloured to honour gay marriage, to starve out all you ignorant dipshits that make me feel like licking a light socket. Then, gays get married, I dont constantly feel the urge to smash my head through a wall, society becomes that *little* bit more rational and kind, and all fundies get to spend eternity in 'heaven' immediately and hang out with 'god'. A win-win situation.

Ali, homosexuality is just about love. How can you think like that, it's awful ! It even exists with animals (birds for example).
Homosexuals are people like us and btw I don't even believe in God. I'm French and here, lots of people don't care if your gay or not and don't think they have something to say, it's none of their business. You should do the same.

Genesis 19, Genesis 2: 21-24 Leviticus 18:22,Leviticus 20:13 , Romans 1:24-29, Matthew 19:4-6, I Corinthians 6:9-10. I think God makes Himself clear on the subject. What He also says is we are to love our neighbors as ourselves. We are NOT to condemn or persecute. We are to love and to pray for them. I love my bisexual son and pray for him. He also realizes there are things I cannot accept about an openly practising and rebellious lifestyle just as God cannot. That would have to go for unrepentant fornication, adultery and other sexually immoral behavior as well.
