How old is the Earth? Does the Bible account for dinosaurs? What about Noah’s Ark?

These are questions we all have about the Book of Genesis and the creation of the world. So how do you reconcile your questions with what Scripture teaches about the beginning of time? We’re going to talk with two guests today who are from a ministry you may have heard of:  Answers in Genesis (AiG). AIG is one of the largest apologetics ministries in the world, headquartered in Petersberg, Kentucky, along with its Creation Museum.

In our second half of the program, we will meet Tim Chaffey, a researcher and expert in biblical and theological studies. First, we’re joined by Mark Looy co-producer of Answers…with Ken Ham, a daily radio feature heard on over 500 stations worldwide. Mark also serves as science and culture editor for AiG’s popular and award-winning Answers Magazine and writes and edits AiG’s monthly newsletter. Looy has been an avid student of the creation/evolution debate for more than 40 years.

One Response to Old earth and young earth: Answers in Genesis

  1. Mr Davis says:

    What of Genesis,

In this book, the first book is laid the foundation for all the rest. It explains the who, what, why, when and how of everything that is and that comes after. It is the first foretelling of what will be and sadley we are ignorant of its truth and validity.

The nessesesity of Christ is first explained here, bloods nessesity, with the seed of the woman named as the Conqueror of sin and death. The curious work further described by the Holy Spirit in the naming of the Children in Adam's line to Noah, the only line in all of Adams generations not tainted by fallen angles.

Here God first demonstrates creator rights over His creation and judges the wickedness of man, first cursing the entire earth which man was set over as steward. Second was the flood where by he destroyed all but eight souls because of the corruption of mankind. A corruption which we are pursuing tirlessly today in attemps to blend man and machine, man and other creatures, finally man and angles, all attempts to conquer death to make ourselves immortal appart from God.

We are supposed to learn from history or be doomed to repeat it. It would seem we are unable to learn and so pursue with great eagerness the next judgment as it has been foretold.

Christ brought forth from the seed of the woman will conquer until all foes are conquered. The last one standing will be death.

Matthew 5:17-18 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

We would do well to study this book and accept it's pronouncements and offer God praise for the great demonstration of His forbearance in not judging us now as we so righly deserve. Even so the Lord will not delay forever. Pray for repentance onto salvation, onto life and live.
