Things that snare

We think sin is an act, but God says it is a process that’s been at work much longer than you realize.

With any temptation, we often ask God to take away the urge to sin. So why does this often fail? The answer is right in the Bible, and today we’re going to find out what Jesus says about snares and where they start. (Check out Matthew 5, 6 & 7.)

Satan’s goal is to marginalize God, Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Truth of God’s Word. He prowls like a roaring lion, but yet the enemy’s snares are so subtle that, just like a fly caught in a spider’s web, we don’t realize we’re stuck until it’s too late. And by then, our lives are changed forever.

One Response to Things that snare

  1. Mr Davis says:

    James 1:

12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14 But every man is tempted , when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear , slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

and to keep himself unspotted from the world: the philosophies and teachings every thing that exalts itself, being against what God says. Don't love what the world loves, don't pray for what the world prays for for all these things are smoke and ash and will be proved so when tested!

    2 Corinthians 10

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled .

7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's. 8 For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:

Bring all thoughts captive > to the obedience of Christ, who being equal with God didn't rebell, but submitted to The Fathers will which required Christ Jesus to take our sins upon Himself and to suffer and die on the Cross. So marred more than any man He shall spinkle the nations. His body the Scarlet Wool, the Cross the Hyssop. Opening a way by His death to a new and living way to life everlasting. No more subject to the flesh and its lusts leading to death but to the Holy Spirit which leads to obedience and life everlasting!

    Amen and Amen!

May God find you clothed with the wedding garments required.

    Matthew 22:

8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. 11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless . 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away , and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

I pray Lord your word not return void but by it your righteousness and grace would be revealed.
