Christ at the Checkpoint

Today we’re looking at two very distinct topics. In our second half hour, we’re continuing our look at the Signs and Wonders Movement with some interesting thoughts from a controversial author, Andrew Strom. Check out Andrew’s site and books and weigh in.

In the first segment, we’re checking in with Laurie Cardoza Moore, founder of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations (PJTN), about Christians in Israel and Palestine. In particular we will ask her about this article (posted below) on her website. PJTN is a ministry to educate Christian believers about biblical truth as it relates to Israel, and the dangerous lies that we’re being told in the West about the true nature of events in the Middle East.

Bethlehem to Host Church Conference Which Demonizes Israel

January 10, 2012 by Giulio Meotti | Aretz Sheva

Theologians who are breathing new life into a kind of demonology which criminalizes all Israelis will meet in Bethlehem in March.

Bethlehem - Church of Nativity

Next March,  the Bible College in Bethlehem will host dozens of US theologians, activists and ministries for the “Christ at the Checkpoint 2012 Conference”.

It is to be a major religious and political event meant to demonize Israel and to support the Palestinian Intifada against the “ethnocentric” Jewish State.

The impressive range of Christian theologians and pastors from many churches located in the United States make the gravity of the upcoming conference clear.

Samuel Rodriguez, President of the US National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, is a speaker.

Also attending are popular US preacher and “spiritual adviser” to Bill Clinton, Tony Campolo, and President of the World Evangelical Alliance and Asia Evangelical Alliance, Sang-Bok David Kim.

Two of the conference organizers, Stephen Sizer and Sami Awad, adamantly defended the Gaza flotilla sent in May 2010 by the Turkish terror group IHH.

Another speaker, Ben White, has shared a political platform with Azzam Tamimi, who has endorsed suicide bombings against Jewish civilians in the past.

One Response to Christ at the Checkpoint

  1. Mr Davis says:

    In these last days
    Romans 12:12 KJV
    Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
    Ephesians 6:18 KJV
    Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
    Colossians 4:2 KJV
    Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

    We are called to be constant in prayer. Why?
    Because this is how we show ourselves not to be sufficient for the days we find ourselves in. We have not the strength in us to stand.

    God has already determined the future. Therefore there is nothing that will prevent the inevitable turning of the whole world against the Jews and Christians. Eventually we will be hunted down legally for even the Governments will be against us.

    This changes nothing. Even today in the Islamic Nations and Communist Nations, Christians are martyred and are pouring out thier blood for the Gospel. Other secular nations are allowing attacks against Christians. So be it!!

    1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. 3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: 4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: 5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. 6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. 7 But the end of all things is at hand : be ye therefore sober , and watch unto prayer. 8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

    Share the Gospel! Be ready in season and out to give a reason for the hope that is in you. Do not fail to help those that it is in your power to help. Cling fast to His Word.

    Love God, Love the Brethren, Test everything! Hold to the good, discard the evil.

    Dan
